Abstract |
In 21st-Century business-mentality technology-driven-world, banking-services are
carried-out in competitive manner that has resulted usage of digital-banking. Bank
Laws in Greece contains multi-faucets provisions. Under bank-operation
provisions, bank-deposits, bank-accounts are covered by Hellenic Deposit &
Investment Guarantee Fund (TEKE). But bank-deposits are not insured. But in
practice government intervenes to ensure that depositors do not suffer a loss.
Despites rapid growth of digital-banking globally, no country has insurance in
practice to cover digital-transaction. But it faces serious pitfalls being it riskiness.
Customers don't read terms & conditions of services. These weaknesses cause abuses. Customer faces perceived-risk-factors. Application of Akim's model - Voluntary Insurance (VI), a new product in banking-services, can be impetus in meeting the challenges. Welfare Analyses are used as guidance for ensuring efficiency-cost of competitive pricing of insurance. Thus VI becomes appealing to
parties-involved. In case of bank-service-provider, adverse selection in insurance market, welfare cost of inefficient pricing is quantitatively small and advantageous
selection results the opposite. |

Abstract |
This paper aims to explore the views of disabled people on the degree of utilization
of innovative technological applications for customers with disabilities at Greek
hotels, non-random sampling being the methodological framework used in the
research process. Results of relevant analysis lead to a main conclusion: physically
disabled people consider that there is a low degree of sufficiency in relation to the
use of innovative technological applications at Greek hotels and in particular their
rooms division. Indeed, it was found that there is a low frequency of use and
request of innovative technological applications by people with disabilities in
hotels across Greece. Moreover, the existence of specific technological innovations
was identified as an important criterion for their revisit intention to a hotel. |

Abstract |
Smart cities have many benefits in terms of human living; however, they haven't
eliminated the problems of urban living. Some issues concern the residents within
these cities that can affect public well-being and happiness and citizens' trust. At
the same time, some voices are trying to highlight the meaning of these cities as
socially constructed entities made up of activities and practices. In this sense, new
criteria proposed for evaluating smart cities based on happiness, urban planning,
mental health and the approach of a more humane side of cities. These approaches
work in an alternative way and offer a complete understanding of the ever-evolving
technology that brings about urban and social change and the redefinition of "smart
cities" many times in smart cities, some groups not given importance. The search
for technology and innovation can exclude a portion of citizens from their wellbeing
and smooth integration into the urban and social landscape. In this study's
context, questionnaires distributed to demonstrate the public perception of the
ever-rising digital technology in the context of smart cities. We provide conclusions for either the digitally disabled or those who do not have access to digital equipment. |

Abstract |
A model is presented that incorporates both water quantity and quality
aspects and a market based system is developed to characterize optimum water
allocations between two regions or countries. A methodology is developed to
compute the optimum tax or subsidy that could support an optimum water quantity
and quality allocation in case that the relevant authorities agreed to impose in the
marketplace. |
