Stephan Kambach studied Biology at the University Marthin-Luther Halle-Wittenberg, in Germany. He is specialized in geobotany and tropical pollination ecology.

Stephan joined the research unit in December 2012 for an internship. He compares the realised niche width of herbaceous species of all the alpean region and tries to decompose the influence of abiotic and biotic factors on species occurrences.

After his internship, he wants to start a PhD thesis on ecosystem services, biodiversity and conservation.
